As a child my grandpa told me to spank or slightly tug on trees that get little activity[meaning hidden from wind/animal activity/natural actions] this tugging/spanking he said helped the tree grow stronger, Well as i look back at all the trees i would tug at here in nyc for decades they all are sooo healthy/big/bright spring blossoms [have the most wild birds in nyc not in park areas as wetlands in kings county[Brooklyn] or central park i see red/orange feathered birds, falcons resting on my 10th floor window, seagulls trying but too small of a widow sill

so the hover for 20-40mins , woodpeckers tapping on the bricks of my building, grasshoppers hanging on to the side of my building i feel cause of the healthy trees wether it was from the tugging or nature not for me to judge, but here a little story lost unless i tell it, while in public school 116[was MURRY BERGTRAUM] on 33rd between 2nd & 3rd aves one day i , an oriental girl and a black boy all in 4th grade where chosen to go to a kips bay development which spans from ~33rd st to 29th st between 1st & 2nd aves, and i remember was the first elevator i saw that had no 13th floor. We went to the basement to get potted flowers[i already at that young age was interested in girls and i remember seeing the first pinup posters of playmates in the room that had the potted plants as it was the

janitors/maintenance crews locker/hangout room. So what does this have to do with nature, well we where going to be the first to create in a city environment a plant lot, the first in the country ~1973 between 32nd & 33rd st on the west side of that 3rd ave...there we where 3 kids several newspaper writers/photographers a few tv reporters...go forward 2weeks and as i went to school i noticed the thin lot was being excavated i asked a construction worker he we are building a mcdonalds, i though huh??? went to school, asked the teacher questions she was saddened then a few months later another wider lot on lexington ave officially became the first in a city environment man made "plant lot" which is better than nothing but learned a lesson on how $$$ talks people/plants walk.
P.S.[I have nothing against $$ as anything good in moderation]

was going to post here but figure people would get bothered in trying to read these comments in not being all on one area. so if you wish read this [it might help with several problems including the honey bee crisis.
